The Rack Mount FMS is suitable for a 19”/21” standard rack. This type of FMS has easy access for splicing and maintenance due to sliding drawer design. Rack Mount FMS are available from 6 to 288 fiber configurations and can be customized as per customer requirements.
An external client protection module (that is, Y-Cable) is a passive device, and it can be inserted in 19- inch cabinet to implement 1+1 protection for 20 unidirectional client-side services (10 bi-directional client-side services). Based on the port types, Y-Cable modules are classified into single-mode and multi-mode modules.
